I’m absolutely thrilled to share some exciting news from this month’s results day with the Guild of Photographers! It’s always a nerve-wracking but rewarding moment when the results are released—and this time, I’m incredibly proud to announce that I’ve been awarded two Bronze Awards in Newborn Photography and a Silver Award for a beautiful Sitter/Toddler image.
These awards mean the world to me. The Guild sets an incredibly high standard, and to be recognised among such talented photographers is an honour I never take for granted. Every image entered is judged by experts, and the competition is always fierce—so to receive these accolades is truly something special.
But here’s the reality behind the scenes…
📷 These award-winning images wouldn’t be possible without the clients who generously give permission for their images to be shared. Most of my clients understandably prefer to keep their portraits private, which I always fully respect and support. Because of this, the selection of images I’m able to submit into competition can be limited.
📷 I also don’t currently have the capacity to run model calls specifically for competition work. My diary is packed (thank you all!), and my priority is always delivering the best possible experience for my wonderful clients. So the images I submit are from real client sessions—captured during genuine moments and only with express consent.
📷 That makes this recognition even more meaningful. These awards are not just about the technical side of photography, but about the connection, trust, and collaboration between me and the families I work with. To the clients who have kindly allowed me to share their images—thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your trust allows me to continue pushing myself creatively and professionally.
As always, I remain committed to creating beautiful, timeless portraits—whether they’re shared with the world or treasured quietly at home. Awards are lovely, but the real reward is knowing I’ve helped preserve a special moment in time for each family I work with.
