I get it. When you’re pregnant, exhausted and trying to make decisions about something as precious as your newborn’s first photographs, the last thing you need is more confusion. So let me just talk to you properly — no bullet points, no jargon, just an honest conversation about what I do and whether I’m the right fit for your family.

My name is Debbie. I’m a mum of two, based in Tamworth, and I’ve been specialising in newborn photography for over a decade. Families from Stafford make the journey to my studio regularly — it’s around 30–40 minutes down the A51 — and almost every single one of them says the same thing when they arrive.

What Makes My Sessions Different

I’m not a generalist photographer who offers newborns alongside weddings, headshots and events. Newborn and family photography is what I do. It’s what I’ve built my entire career around.

That focus matters more than most people realise. Newborns are unpredictable. They need feeding at inconvenient moments., they won’t settle when you want them to and they have their own agenda entirely. And navigating all of that — calmly, patiently, without ever making you feel rushed or stressed — comes from doing this day in, day out for years.

I’ve been recognised as a Top 10 International Newborn Photographer every year since 2016, and I hold Mastercraftsman status with the Guild of Photographers — the highest distinction in professional photography. But honestly, what I’m most proud of is the messages I get from parents weeks after their session, telling me they cried when they saw their gallery. That their images look exactly like they remember those early days feeling. That they can’t imagine not having them.

That’s what I’m here for.

The Journey from Stafford Is Worth It

I know Tamworth isn’t on your doorstep. But here’s what Stafford parents tell me about the drive — My studio is easy to find, with parking right next to the studio — and the moment you walk through the door, you’ll be glad you came.

There’s no city centre stress. No trying to find a parking space with a newborn in the back. Just a warm, cosy studio where everything moves at your baby’s pace and nobody is watching the clock.

Sessions last as long as they need to. If your baby needs three feeds, we do three feeds. If they take an hour to settle, we settle them. The session ends when we have everything we need — not when the timer goes off.

When Should You Book?

The sweet spot for newborn photography is 5 to 21 days old — when babies are still curled, sleepy and gorgeous. I also photograph babies up to 10 weeks, so if you’ve already had your baby and you’re worried you’ve missed the window, please just get in touch. There’s still so much beauty to capture.

The best thing you can do is book while you’re still pregnant. I’ll hold a flexible space around your due date and we’ll confirm everything once your baby arrives safely.

I have had a maternity, newborn and sitter shoot with Debbie and she’s has been absolutely amazing with all 3! Obviously the maternity shoot is a whole new experience but she made me feel so relaxed and we had so much fun doing the shoot! The photos were stunning and so special for me to keep as they captured me and my bump perfectly. The newborn session was just as fun and and captured my baby girl just perfectly. She is so good with newborns and I had complete trust in her which is really important. The sitter session was just the cutest and was definitely led by my daughter as it was like she knew what she was doing!! Lol. Debbie just went with it and captured my daughters cheeky personality perfectly.
So lovely that we have done these shoots from maternity to her sitter more recently, watching her grow and change!
Definitely recommend to anyone who’s pregnant or had a baby. The photos are absolutely stunning and I will treasure them forever. I just wish Debbie had been around for my older two! X

I have used Debbie since 2017 for my first new born shoot. Since then I’ve had two more and Debbie has consistently always produced high standard photography. Debbie herself is creative which you can see in her work and the variety of pictures. She listens to what you what and what you like and incorporates that into her work. Most importantly Debbie works well with children of all ages. We have always been happy with Debbie’s work and would highly recommend.

We used Deborah for our wedding photos and she was amazing and i would highly recommend her. She put me (bride) and all our
guests at ease, and nothing was to much trouble for her, she even stayed late and waited for the rain to stop so she could take a group shoot of all the guests. We had the photos back a week after the wedding and they are fantastic, I couldn't have asked for better photos. Deborah captured the day brilliant, lots of natural photos of everyone smiling and having fun. The photos she took of me and my husband were just perfect.

I’ve had two shoots with Deborah, one maternity shoot and one mother and daughter shoot after my daughter was born, it’s so special having the before and after photos of my pregnancy! Both my experiences have been absolutely amazing and the photos were breathtaking! And something il treasure forever. Deborah is so talented at what she does and has a way with people of all ages! She makes you feel comfortable and just amazing!
