Following on from our recent post about newborn sessions, today I’m sharing a closer look at what’s included in a Newborn Mini Session—a perfect option for families wanting a beautiful, simple way to capture those early days with baby.

What is a Newborn Mini Session—and How is it Different?
A Newborn Mini Session is a shorter, more focused session—typically lasting 45–60 minutes
There are three different types of mini sessions available
DISCOVER NEWBORN MINI SESSIONS
Pay a £100 booking fee at the time of booking, with the remaining £99 before the session.
CLASSIC NEWBORN MINIS
If you are on a budget, or missed out on having The Full Newborn Experience with the first 3 weeks, this is for you. This session is simple, and is just baby on the posing table. Using one colour of your choice, we will capture 5 gorgeous images of baby whether asleep or awake.
Baby only – Up to 10 weeks.
Up to 1 hour session
5 fully edited images as digitals
MINI WRAPPED SESSIONS
These are a simpler and shorter version of a newborn session. Perfect for smaller budgets. Using just one colour baby is all wrapped up and placed in 5 different poses.

PARENT & NEWBORN MINIS
This is for those that want simply family images of their new addition to the family. They capture this incredibly brief time with your new baby you will treasure forever.

Why Wrapped Posing Works So Well for Minis
Newborns love being wrapped! The snug wrap mimics the womb and helps them feel secure, which usually means more sleep and fewer startles—ideal for a peaceful, relaxed session.
And while the baby stays wrapped, that doesn’t mean every image looks the same. I use different wraps, colors, textures, and creative techniques to add variety and style to your gallery.
What’s Included in Your Mini Newborn Session
Flokati Rug or Beanbag Setups
Soft, dreamy textures like flokati rugs or beanbag fabrics help create a timeless, cozy backdrop for your baby’s portraits. These setups work beautifully for close-up images and different wrapped poses.
I love to add subtle props, greenery, florals, or tiny teddies to add personality and charm to your session—always keeping the focus on your baby.
3–4 Prop Setups
Just like in my full sessions, you’ll get a lovely variety of prop setups—usually 3 to 4 looks—all with baby safely wrapped. We might use baskets, bowls, soft textures, or seasonal elements depending on your preferences.
Each setup is styled with care to suit your baby and your chosen colour or theme.
Family or Sibling Poses
Want to include the rest of the family? You absolutely can! Choose the Parent and Newborn Mini Session, perfect for capturing those first tender connections.
A Newborn Mini Session, Maximum Memories
Mini sessions are a budget-friendly and time-sensitive way to get beautiful newborn images without the length of a full session. They’re ideal for families who want to keep things simple, or who may have missed the ideal newborn window but still want those timeless baby portraits.
