Welcome to Baby & Sitter Photography by Deborah Longmore Photography
Baby & Sitter Sessions are a perfect way to document the development of your baby
When is the best time for a baby session?
The main reason for baby to be able to sit unaided and confidently is to allow us to use some props such as chairs or stools. For these images I always ask that a parent sits close to baby to ensure the are safe at all times. In the image to the right, mum was immediately at the left hand side of baby and edited out in post production.
Baby and sitter sessions are perfect for babies aged ideally between 6-9 months when they are not yet crawling or walking however whether they are younger and not yet sitting, or older and they are on the move we can capture some wonderful images. The image to the left is a of a little 4 month old who was not able to sit on her own however she was able to sit with support of the bucket.
Babies develop such wonderful personalities and traits as they grow. They are full of smiles and laughter. These sessions can be very quick and fast pasted and hopefully a lot of fun. However for the more shy child, dont worry! These sessions can last up to 2 hours to make sure that a child is comfortable and at ease.
I believe it is so important to capture these special times and to capture those special personalities. Time flies so quickly and before you know it, you have a toddler on your hands and those baby days are gone!
Here are a few of my recent images…
